CONTEXT

What to do? What to eat?
Social media is the default source of daily inspiration.

For Gen Z, Social media is Not just a platform for communication — it’s an active space for discovering real-time, trend-driven information through people.

PROBLEM

Gen Z saves content for later, but most of it is rarely used and eventually forgotten.

According to an online survey of 102 Gen Z participants conducted on October 3–4, 2025, 77% of respondents reported using less than 25% of the information they saved.

MARKET ANALYSIS

Without curation, bookmarks become cluttered and difficult to use

When revisiting bookmarks, users seek the information embedded in the content—such as recipes, ingredients, or café details. However, current bookmark systems simply store posts as-is.

SOLUTION

UX Structure

AI Search

Quickly retrieves the most relevant saved content when users have a clear goal. Reduces friction by matching intent with precise results.

Multiple options

Presents multiple relevant saved items in a comparable format. Supports informed decision-making through structured comparison.

Exploratory browsing

Surfaces saved content without requiring a specific query. Encourages rediscovery and open-ended exploration.

What I've Learned

  1. Designing Within Business & Resource Constraints

In developing solutions, I faced constraints such as implementation feasibility and differentiation from competitors. I learned what kind of constraints exits and how to minimize resource use while ensuring that essential features aligned with the long-term mission and brand differentiation.

  1. Designing the Ecosystem of Family Apps

Our app was closely linked with parent and sibling apps, meaning one feature could affect the others. I designed with user segmentation in mind and considered cross-app impacts, realizing the importance of understanding the overall ecosystem of functions and users.

  1. Different User Traits Across Countries

Through desk research, interviews, and data analysis, I discovered distinct differences between US and UK users, especially regarding privacy concerns. I learned that marketing effective in the US could backfire in the UK, highlighting the need for contextual understanding of each market.
